Um ônibus de turismo perdeu o controle numa curva e caiu em uma ribanceira na rodovia SC-418, conhecida como Serra Dona Francisca, perto do município de Joinville (SC). O acidente deixou ao menos 32 mortos, segundo os últimos dados divulgados pela Polícia Rodoviária Estadual, por volta de 21h30.
O acidente aconteceu por volta de 17h45 deste sábado (14), e a rodovia foi interditada para o trânsito nos dois sentidos. O trânsito foi liberado por volta das 23h, ainda segundo a polícia.
O ônibus era do município de União da Vitória, no Paraná, e pertencia à empresa Costa e Mar Turismo.
O local é de difícil acesso, o que dificultou a participação do helicóptero da Polícia Militar enviado de Florianópolis. Equipes do Corpo de Bombeiros desceram até o ônibus e cuidavam do resgate das vítimas. Os corpos serão levados ao IML (Instituto Médico Legal) de Joinville.
Os acidentes na rodovia, repleta de curvas e considerada muito perigosa pelos motoristas da região, mataram 66 pessoas nos últimos cinco anos, sem contabilizar as vítimas desse último acidente. A Serra Dona Francisca é reconhecida também pela beleza da vegetação ao redor, de Mata Atlântica. A dois quilômetros do local do acidente há um mirante bastante frequentado pelos usuários da rodovia.
